Wind turbine joints
We analyze the joints for connecting different structural parts within a component or between components in a Wind Turbine. Special Interest we pay for the structural relevant bearing loading Joints. Mainly, we deal with two different Joint Types:
- Bolted Joint
- Adhesive Bonded Joint
- Hybrid Bonded-Bolted
Bolted Joint
Regardless the jointing part materials or the bolt size, we provide you High-Tech Solutions for the investigating Bolted Joint. Thanks to CAE Software developed in-house our deliveries are effective and reliable.
- Blade to Pitch Bearing
- Pitch Bearing to the Hub
- Bearing Housing and main frame
- Hub and main shaft
- Tower Flanges
- Gearbox and generator
- Hub and Pitch Bearing
Adhesive Bonded Joint
For the Wind Turbine Blade (less for the other FRC parts in WT) the adhesive strength plays a crucial role in the structural integrity of the component due to the bearing loads, e.g. Blade Trailing Edge Bonding. Applying state-of-the-art technology for the joint design we ensure a solid level of safety.
Bonded-Bolted Hybrid Joint
Within the FRC parts in Wind Turbines there are regular and special hybrid joint as respectively follows:
- Metallic Profiles embedded in FRC Structures: Blade Root Inserts or Brackets in the stringer of nacelle cover shell
- Segmented (Modular) Blades: Two or more Blade parts jointing in blade length direction
Our engineering technology competency and expertise in the field guide our customer over entire Hybrid Joint Design phase.
